Privacy Policy

RMS Track (iOS app and web app at track.rmssg.com) · Effective 27 October 2026

RMS Track lets authorised fleet customers view the location, status and route history of trailers and other assets tracked by GPS Tracktech devices on their account. This policy explains what data the service handles. It is operated by RMS (“we”).

Sign-in details

You sign in with your existing GPS Tracktech username and password. These are sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to our server, which passes them to GPS Tracktech only to verify them. We do not store your password.

After you sign in, we issue an encrypted session that lets the service read your account’s fleet data. It is kept in the iOS Keychain or as a secure browser cookie, expires after 7 days and is removed when you sign out. We do not keep a copy of it on our servers.

Fleet data

Device names and IDs, positions, speed, battery level, status and route history are read from GPS Tracktech each time you open or refresh the app. We do not store this data; our server may hold it in memory for up to a few minutes to reduce repeated requests. Each user only sees the devices that GPS Tracktech makes available to their own account.

Your own location

The app does not ask for, collect or use the location of your phone or computer.

Maps and addresses

Maps are provided by Apple Maps. To show an approximate street address, the coordinates of a tracked device (not your own location) are sent to Apple’s geocoding service. Apple’s handling of this data is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.

What we do not do

• No advertising, and no tracking across other companies’ apps or websites.
• No analytics or third-party SDKs in the app.
• We do not sell or share your data.

Service providers

The service runs on Cloudflare, which processes network requests (for example IP addresses and request times) to deliver and secure the service, under its own privacy terms. Fleet data comes from GPS Tracktech, which provides your tracking account.

Your account and data

Your tracking account, devices and their history are managed by GPS Tracktech and your fleet administrator; we do not hold an account record for you. Signing out removes the session from your device. For requests about data held by GPS Tracktech, contact your administrator or GPS Tracktech.

Children

The service is a business tool and is not directed to children.
